STINGRAYS TODAY
Opponent--Portland Power.
Time--4 p.m.
Records--Portland (24-16), Long Beach (23-15).
Site--Pyramid, Long Beach State.
Update--The StingRays can either widen their first-place lead over Portland or drop back into second. A Long Beach victory would give the StingRays a 4-3 edge against the Power, which means if the the teams end up tied at the end of the regular season, Long Beach, as conference champion, would get a 10-day break during the preliminary rounds. This game also features the ABL’s two best rebounders, Long Beach’s Yolanda Griffith and Portland’s Natalie Williams, who, sources say, has asked to be traded to Long Beach after this season.
