In Freeway League girls’ basketball:

No. 9 Troy 69, Sonora 64--Troy (24-2, 9-0) clinched its sixth consecutive league title behind Veronica Johns, who had 25 points and 13 rebounds. Johns scored 10 of Troy’s 14 points in the fourth quarter.

Brandy Davis scored 27 points to lead Sonora (15-7, 7-2).

In Garden Grove League girls’ soccer:

Pacifica 1, Garden Grove 0--Amanda Freed scored in the first half on a breakaway, giving Pacifica (21-4, 11-0) its fourth consecutive league title. Pacifica is ranked seventh in Division III. Garden Grove (14-2-1, 9-2) will finish second in league.

In Pacific Coast League girls’ water polo:

Costa Mesa 8, Laguna Beach 3-- Cari Howse scored four goals and Cindy Ramirez had two as the Mustangs defeated Laguna Beach (4-13, 1-4). Goalie Stephanie Lombardo made seven saves and scored her first goal of the year as time expired in the third quarter.

In the Sunset League:

No. 2 Los Alamitos 15, Huntington Beach 4--Amy Valois scored five goals for Los Alamitos. Teammate Shelli Linza had four goal for the Griffins (16-9, 4-1).
