Bodies Found After Jogger Sees Truck Dripping Blood

Blood trickling from a truck parked on an Alhambra street New Year’s Day led authorities to discover the bodies of two Bakersfield men who had been shot, authorities said.

The bodies of Megid Ahmed, 41, and Steve Alawdi, 30, were found after a jogger saw the blood dripping from the truck, which was parked on Palm Avenue at Ramona Road, said Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy Mark Bailey.

Authorities said the truck belongs to a family member of one of the victims.

Based on an initial investigation, sheriff’s homicide detectives believe that the pair were shot elsewhere and brought to the location in the truck. The location is close to where the Long Beach Freeway ends in Alhambra, a short distance from the San Bernardino Freeway.
