Pacific continued a series of player moves by trading outfielder Kendrick Davis and catcher Sam Voita to Mission Viejo on Thursday night.

Davis, who was batting .262, and Voita, who was with the club for only two weeks, took batting practice with Pacific before being informed of the trade. They changed uniforms and played in the game for Mission Viejo.

The trade immediately hurt the Suns (12-31) when Voita drove in two runs with two hits and Davis had a sacrifice fly and a hit for Mission Viejo (23-21) in a 10-2 victory Friday night.

JETHAWKS

Right-handed pitcher Patrick Dunham, who reeled off nine consecutive victories after opening the season 0-3, was promoted to Orlando, the Seattle Mariners’ double-A affiliate in the Southern League.

Dunham struggled in three recent starts, giving up 18 earned runs in 14 2/3 innings. But he regained his form by striking out a season-high 12 in 7 1/3 innings against the High Desert Mavericks in his last start for the JetHawks. Dunham is 9-5 with a 3.46 earned-run average in 17 starts.

Replacing Dunham will be John Thompson, who was demoted from Orlando. Thompson, a closer most of his career who was 3-4 with a 6.87 ERA, will be a starter for Lancaster.

In another move, Fernando Espino, who was batting .201 with one home run for Wisconsin in the Midwest League, joined the JetHawks. Espino batted .336 at short-season Everett, Wash., last year.
