BOYS’ VOLLEYBALL

* Orange County Championships at Marina High, beginning 3:30 p.m. Friday: Twenty-seven teams are entered in the tournament, which will have two divisions. Pool-play begins Friday and continues Saturday beginning at 8 a.m. at Marina High. Bracketed play begins Saturday at Marina and the Division I final is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Monday at Golden West College, with the semifinals preceding at 4 p.m. The Division II final is scheduled at 6 p.m. Monday at Golden West. Most of the county’s top teams are entered.

* Capistrano Valley at Laguna Beach, 6 p.m. Tuesday: Both teams are expected to be among the best in the county, but both are starting in opposite directions. The visiting Cougars lost their first two matches. Setter Miles McGann has helped Laguna Beach win its first two matches.
