Brea Olinda’s Geney Orris hit her sixth homer, a grand slam, and drove in six runs as Brea Olinda completed an unbeaten Orange League season with a 9-3 victory over Western Friday.

Orris’ homer was the 30th of her career, making her the undisputed career home run leader in Southern Section history. She had been tied with the unofficial leader, Tamra Freedman, formerly of Montclair Prep, who hit her 29th last season. The official record had been 28, set by Glendora St. Lucy’s Jenny Dalton (1992).

Brea got six hits, two by Orris, and improved to 18-5, 10-0 in league. Western is 5-21, 2-8.
