The executive committee of the Southern Section tentatively turned down the appeals of Alemany and St. Paul, which do not want to be placed in the Del Rey League next season.

As part of the Catholic Athletic Assn.’s make over, Alemany and St. Paul will be in the league with Loyola and Bishop Amat.

The committee, however, agreed to a request from Jerome Porath, superintendent of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, for more time to review the CAA’s new leagues.
