Pacifica (7-2, 5-0) vs. Santiago (7-2, 3-2)
7 TONIGHT GARDEN GROVE HIGH
Santiago is having one of its best football seasons in school history, but the Cavaliers probably need a victory over league-champion Pacifica to be considered for an at-large playoff berth. Santiago lost to La Quinta, 8-7, earlier and that loss will cost the Cavaliers the league’s third playoff spot if La Quinta beats Garden Grove Friday. If Santiago can upset Pacifica, it would have a pretty good case for an at-large berth, especially considering Pacifica reached the section final as an at-large team two years ago. Pacifica is ranked third in Division IX.
