Paraclete 42, Desert 22--The top-seeded Spirits scored on their first five possessions at Antelope Valley College.
Michael Washington scored three touchdowns and had 91 yards in five carries. Washington, who scored on runs of 14 and nine yards, returned a punt 38 yards for a touchdown to give Paraclete (10-1) a 21-0 lead in the first quarter.
Quarterback Rob Fockaert of Paraclete completed eight of 12 passes for 91 yards and two first-half touchdowns. He threw scoring passes of three yards to Josh White and 18 yards to Tommy Breech.
Curtis Brown, who finished with 63 yards in seven carries, gave the Spirits a 35-8 halftime lead with a 26-yard touchdown run late in the second period.
Paraclete, winner of three consecutive league titles, has won seven consecutive games.
The Spirits outgained Desert (4-7), which was making its first playoff appearance since 1991, 279 yards to 233.
