Police are seeking two suspects who approached Levin as she was walking in an alley behind 12826 Victory Blvd. the morning of Aug. 15, police said.

One suspect grabbed the straps of her purse and tried to pull it from her shoulder. After Levin held on and fell to ground, the suspect began dragging her. Then he struck her on the head with a blunt object, police said. She released her grip and the assailants fled.

Detectives believe the suspects live in the area near the alley. One was described as a black male, teenager or young adult, approximately 5 feet, 5 inches tall, and 150 pounds. The other suspect was described as a black male, also a teen or young adult, approximately 6 feet tall, and 170 pounds. He was wearing a baseball cap with the letters “NY” on the front.
