Paraclete 37, Pasadena Marshall 14--Paraclete quarterback Rob Fockaert returned after missing two weeks because of an ankle injury and in slightly more than two quarters of play threw for 274 yards and a touchdown to lead the Spirits (5-1) in a league opener at Antelope Valley College.
Fockaert completed 17 of 28 passes, including a 47-yard scoring play to Josh White. White was the Spirits’ leading receiver with nine catches for 145 yards.
Matt Meyer, who took over for Fockaert two weeks ago, started at quarterback and hit Michael Washington with a seven-yard touchdown pass before he was replaced by Fockaert.
Paraclete scored 23 unanswered points to open the game.
Marshall fell to 0-6.
