Golden West Rallies for Volleyball Win

Golden West, the top-ranked women’s volleyball team in the state, rallied to defeat second-ranked Saddleback, 15-17, 9-15, 15-7, 17-15, 15-13, to win the Santa Barbara Tournament of Champions title Sunday.
Charnette Fair had 16 of 23 kills in the fourth game to help the Rustlers force a fifth game to win the championship. Lori Daedelow had 29 kills for Golden West (11-0).
Gina Stivers had 39 kills and Richelle Danet had 86 assists and seven aces for Saddleback (10-3), which has lost three matches to Golden West this season.
