Colts Waive Cornerback Gray
The Indianapolis Colts waived six-year veteran cornerback Carlton Gray after practice Thursday, denying the decision was made because of Gray’s quotes in a newspaper story.
After Gray lost the starting right corner position to free agent Tyrone Poole, Gray criticized management in the Indianapolis Star on Wednesday.
“I said from the start this was going to happen,” Gray told the Star, referring to Poole being named the starter. “[The Colts] said it wasn’t. They said if I went out there and played hard and played good, everything would stay the same.”
