Closed Escrow Wins at Del Mar

DEL MAR — Closed Escrow defeated Tiffany Diamond a length Thursday to win the $66,830 June Darling Stakes at Del Mar.
Ridden by Corey Nakatani, Closed Escrow covered 6 1/2 furlongs in 1:15 3-5 and paid $3, $2.20 and $2.10 as the wagering favorite.
Tiffany Diamond returned $3 and $2.40, while Lady Tap, who was another seven lengths back in third, paid $3 to show.
The victory, worth $39,630, increased Closed Escrow’s career earnings to $267,265, with five wins in 10 starts.
