San Marcos 36, Royal 21--Bradlee Van Pelt of San Marcos threw four second-half touchdown passes and the Royals overcame a 9-0 halftime deficit against visiting Royal.
Van Pelt, who completed six of 10 passes for 140 yards, connected with Randy Moharram on scoring passes of 57, 12 and 21 yards and added a scoring run in the fourth quarter.
Trailing, 15-13, San Marcos scored 23 unanswered points to claim a 36-13 lead.
Royal’s Steven Sheehan rushed for 105 yards in 23 carries. Quarterback Jonathan Palcios completed 14 of 28 passes for 117 yards and two touchdowns.
