7:30 TONIGHT MISSION VIEJO HIGH
Laguna Hills, defending Pacific Coast League champion, is coming off a 19-13 victory over Trabuco Hills of the South Coast League. Mission Viejo, another South Coast team, got in the win column for its new coach, Steve Carnes, with a 31-17 victory over Aliso Niguel, a PCL team. Mission Viejo’s Dan Bowling (177 yards last week) has rushed for two touchdowns, and will need a solid supporting effort from quarterback Bob Young, who completed seven of 11--with no interceptions--last week. Laguna Hills’ Ryan Johnson is averaging 5.7 yards per carry and rushed for 94 yards against Trabuco Hills.
