The county has agreed to lend the city up to $50,000 for the city’s start-up costs, which can be paid back at a 5.39% interest rate. The city, however, is expected to receive a $212,000 payment from the state this week from vehicle license fees, so it probably won’t need the county’s cash. The county money would still be available as backup if state funds don’t come through, City Manager Leslie Keane said.
