Nancy James of Cal State Northridge, who won the women’s 800 meters and mile in the Big Sky Conference indoor track and field championships in February, will redshirt this season after injuring tissue next to her shin bone.

James, who has one year of eligibility left and helped the Matadors win the Big Sky indoor title with a meet-record 165 points, hadn’t raced during the outdoor season.
