From Staff Reports

Rev. James Anguiano, principal at Alemany High, declined to say whether Darryl McDonald has resigned or had been fired, but said applications are being accepted to replace the boys’ basketball coach.

McDonald, who guided Alemany to a share of the Mission League title last season, was discovered last month to be a registered sex offender.

“We’re moving forward,” Anguiano said.

A committee will be formed to interview and make recommendations in the hiring of a new coach.
