Hospedales, Dominguez Hills Win
Chris Hospedales, a Garden Grove High graduate, scored two goals Wednesday, leading Cal State Dominguez Hills to a 5-0 nonconference victory over Vanguard in the schools’ men’s soccer season opener at Dominguez Hills.
The Toros led 1-0 at the half before scoring four in the second, led by Hospedales, who scored in the 65th and 71st minutes. Michael Ugalde, a graduate of Mater Dei, added an assist for the Toros, ranked 25th in the NCAA Division II preseason poll.
