Cooke Had an Ego, but He Paid His Own Way

So Grahame Jones sees fit to take a few shots at the late Jack Kent Cooke in the Aug. 23 Morning Briefing for his outsized ego. It seems to me that the citizens of Landover should have been celebrating the creation of Raljon, since Cooke bought the land and paid for the construction of the stadium with his own money.

At the same time we criticize the NFL for demanding public money for stadiums, Jones slams a man who built his own park with no public funds. And need I remind Jones that Cooke did the same thing in L.A. and we have had 30 wonderful years in the Fabulous Forum as a result?
