In the Moreno Valley Valley View tournament:

Westminster 59, Moreno Valley Rancho Verde 52--Diana Hernandez had 24 points to lead Westminster (5-2).

In nonleague girls’ basketball:

Capistrano Valley 59, Costa Mesa 26--Nicki Howard scored 22 points and had eight steals for host Capistrano Valley (6-3).

No. 10 Edison 57, No. 7 Rosary 44--Edison (3-3) took command of a two-point game in the fourth quarter by turning up its defensive pressure and outscoring Rosary, 20-9. Michelle Zylstra led the Chargers with 18 points, 17 rebounds and five blocked shots. The Ziemann sisters, Bianca and Rachael, combined for 27 points with Bianca scoring 15 and Racheal chipping in with 12 points. Maggie Barnett scored 13 points for the Royals (5-1).

Fountain Valley 63, Calvary Chapel 54--Jessica Estrada scored 21 as the Barons overcame a nine-point deficit.

Santa Margarita 65, Villa Park 54--Colleen O’Leary scored 14 of her 19 points in the fourth quarter as Santa Margarita (4-2) outscored visiting Villa Park, 23-13.

Valencia 59, El Dorado 52 (OT)--Monika Jackley scored six of her 14 points in overtime, and Michelle Pietka scored 26 for Valencia (7-1).

Whittier Christian 37, St. Margaret’s 34--Vanessa Zamorano had 11 points to lead Whittier Christian (5-5)
