In the third-place game:

No. 4 San Clemente 63, Laguna Hills 56--Cassie Kruger’s three-point basket broke a 47-47 tie as the Tritons (8-1) went on a 9-3 run over the final 2:20. Megan Blackshire scored 14 points and Kimberly Noble scored 13 and had 16 rebounds. Megan Aaker and Christianne Bengard each scored 16 for Laguna Hills (7-4).

In the Lakewood Artesia tournament:

No. 10 Rosary 51, Long Beach Wilson 49--Maggie Barnett hit a 10-footer with 13 seconds left in regulation to help the Royals advance to the final tonight.

Barnett also had 10 rebounds for Rosary.

In the Tournament of Champions:

No. 2 Mater Dei 56, No. 5 Troy 54--The Monarchs (9-1) went on an 18-6 run in the second quarter en route to winning the consolation championship in the open division. Mater Dei’s Lindsay Pavlik scored 14 points and had 11 rebounds. Katie Hardeman had 13 points for Troy (6-3).

No. 9 Esperanza 70, No. 7 Edison 52--Bethany Blair had a game-high 22 points and Ashley Van Kurin had 14 points, six rebounds and six assists for the Aztecs, who went on a 21-9 run to start the game. Michelle Zylstra led Edison (6-4) with 21 points. Esperanza (7-1) plays Ventura in the final today.

In nonleague games:

No. 8 Irvine 63, Century 56--Staci Morita scored 17 points and Jody Carlson added 15 points and seven rebounds to lead the visiting Vaqueros (11-0).

Corona del Mar 48, Aliso Niguel 47--Kristen McCoy had 21 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Sea Kings (7-3). Aliso Niguel came back from a 13-point deficit with less than three minutes remaining but missed a last-second three-pointer.

University 65, Ocean View 30--Sophomore Shaadi Arizand scored 20 points, including four three-pointers, to lead the host Trojans (5-6).
