Orlando to Play Receiver at CSUN
Greg Orlando, who directed Santa Margarita to the Southern Section Division VI title game as quarterback, signed with Cal State Northridge as a wide receiver.
Though Orlando (5-10, 170) passed for 1,976 yards and 18 touchdowns as a senior, he had a stellar junior season with 37 receptions, averaging 19.6 yards per catch.
Northridge also announced the transfer of Saddleback College’s Shawn Watson, a defensive back, who played at Mission Viejo High.

The boys’ basketball games between Santa Margarita-Corona del Mar and Irvine-El Toro originally scheduled for Friday will be played instead at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Santa Margarita and Irvine, respectively.
Corona del Mar and Irvine are tied for third in the Sea View League. Should they end the regular season tied, there will be a playoff game Friday.
