Canyon 48, Cerritos Gahr 45--Paulette Seaman scored 15 points and Trish Christian 13 for Canyon (22-5). Stephanie Malesala, Stephanie Pascucci and Monica Duhart each had 13 points for Gahr (14-12).
El Dorado 55, Torrance 54 (OT)--Courtney Smith (12 points) sent the game into overtime with a 15-foot jumper at the buzzer, and won it for El Dorado (20-7) with a layup with nine seconds remaining. The Hawks trailed by seven going into the fourth quarter. Carly Wade had 24 points and 11 rebounds for the Hawks, who play at Brea Olinda Saturday. Torrance’s Alice Wang missed a three-pointer at the buzzer.
Santiago 48, Agoura 34--Stephanie Reupena (23 points) hit five three-pointers for Santiago (20-7). Sega Asiata added 17 points and 12 rebounds.
Sonora 57, Hemet 47--Sarah Fister scored 17 points and 25 rebounds, 12 offensive, for Sonora (18-8). Brandi Davis added 20 for the Raiders.
Whittier 33, Cypress 32--The Centurions fell behind, 21-13, after a scoreless second quarter, but led in the final minute before Perla Bautista’s game-winning shot with 44 seconds left. Remy Hitomi scored 10 for Cypress (15-11). Whittier plays second-seeded Moorpark, a 76-22 winner over Los Amigos.
In other games, Whittier California defeated Tustin, 55-53 in overtime, and fourth-seeded Norco defeated El Modena, 57-52.
