In other City Championship first-round games:
El Camino Real 82, Locke 57--Cara Blumfield had 28 points, eight assists and five steals and Christina Aguinaga had 22 points for host El Camino Real (22-4).
Fifth-seeded El Camino Real advanced to a quarterfinal game at North Hollywood on Wednesday.
Washington 81, Grant 57--Alexis Weatherspoon scored 22 points for Grant (16-10), which couldn’t overcome a 17-point halftime deficit in a game at Washington.
Tramaine Parker, a 6-foot center, had 29 points for Washington.
Westchester 61, Taft 59--Sophomore guard Denisha McCoy scored 20 points, but No. 11-seeded Taft (15-6) came up short against No. 6-seeded Westchester (21-6) in a game at Westchester.
Taft led, 44-43, after three quarters. The Toreadors, with four underclassmen in their starting lineup, got 11 points from Oreeille Revish.
Palisades 84, Birmingham 26--April Freeney scored 20 points and Leiani Estevan had 19 points and 11 assists for the top-seeded Dolphins (25-4) at Palisades.
Ofalangi Mailangi led Birmingham (17-7) with nine points and Octavia Askew and Siosi Tuli each had six.
CITY DIVISION
Cleveland 46, Roosevelt 26--Freshman guard Brynne Steward had 13 points and 10 rebounds for the Cavaliers (13-8), who won in their first playoff appearance in 11 seasons.
Junior Mishawn Simms had 10 points and 12 rebounds and Cheyenne Brashear added nine points for fourth-seeded Cleveland.
Reseda 43, Bell 38--Neysa Guerrero had 10 of her 14 points in the second half to help the 10th-seeded Regents (10-12) rally in a game at Bell.
Ig Herrera scored 13 points for Reseda and Andrea Bermas scored 10, including nine on three-point baskets.
Chatsworth 63, Garfield 39--Ashley Shelton had 15 points, including four three-point baskets, and Pam Clark scored 12 for host Chatsworth.
