Mission Rivals to Meet in Semifinal

Mission League rivals Chaminade and Harvard-Westlake will play in a Southern Section Division III-A boys’ basketball semifinal game Friday night at Notre Dame High.
Harvard-Westlake won a coin flip to serve as home team. Chaminade beat the Wolverines twice in Mission play.
Nordhoff will play at Corona del Mar in the other III-A semifinal Friday night.
In Division I-A second-round games Tuesday, Simi Valley will play at Fullerton Troy and Ventura will host Anaheim Loara.
In Division I-AA, Oxnard will visit Long Beach Poly.
In Division III-AA, Alemany is at Anaheim Servite.
In IV-AA, Twentynine Palms plays at Paraclete and Crespi will meet Carpinteria at Notre Dame on Tuesday.
In V-AA, Santa Clara plays at Faith Baptist. In V-A, Antelope Valley Christian is at Pilgrim.
GIRLS’ WATER POLO
Harvard-Westlake 14, Paso Robles 1--Jeanine Jackson scored four goals and the Wolverines eclipsed their 13-goal scoring average in a Division II game at Harvard-Westlake.
Sarah Paul had seven saves for No. 4-seeded Harvard-Westlake (21-1), Mission League champion.
The Wolverines play Agoura in a quarterfinal game Tuesday.
Crescenta Valley 8, Rio Mesa 6--Shelley Stiles scored five goals and Kate Freudenberg added two for the Falcons in a Division II first-round victory at Hueneme.
The game was tied at 1-1, 2-2 and 6-6 before Freudenberg scored her second goal from four yards to give the Falcons (15-4) a 7-6 lead.
Diana Kuhl of Rio Mesa (14-10) scored three goals and has 101 this season.
Agoura 11, Glendale 5--Grazielle Caredda, a junior varsity goalie filling in because of an illness to the starter, had eight saves to help the Marmonte League champion Chargers win a Division II opener.
Colleen Schiman and De De Perram each scored three goals for Agoura (21-5).
