Edison 61, Woodbridge 45--Michelle Zylstra led Edison (23-5) with 16 points, 10 rebounds and six blocks. Trisha Grady hit four three-pointers (14 points) and Christina Patterson had 14 points and nine rebounds for Edison. Edison will face Santa Barbara in the second round Wednesday.

Marina 61, Manhattan Beach Mira Costa 44--Miranda Emde scored 19 points and had five steals and Nikki Lee had 12 points and 14 rebounds for Marina, which never trailed after the first quarter. The Vikings (24-3) pulled away in the fourth, taking a nine point lead with five minutes left in the game. Marina advances to play Riverside Poly.

San Clemente 78, Thousand Oaks Royal 40--Colleen Turnbull scored a game-high 27 points for San Clemente. San Clemente will play Troy in the second round.

Troy 79, Canyon Country Canyon 41--Veronica Johns-Richardson scored 22 points and had nine rebounds for Troy (27-0), which went on a 21-2 run in the first quarter. Canyon made 12 of its 26 turnovers in that quarter.
