Scott Lieng, a senior at Brea Olinda High School, has been selected as a finalist for the California Interscholastic Federation’s winter Sportsmanship/Citizenship award. Scott received the recognition for demonstrating good sportsmanship, community service and leadership, federation spokesman Jim Duel said.

Scott is an athlete, an ASB school board representative and has helped direct a canned food drive for Honduran earthquake survivors.

On May 8, the federation will pick six winners, a male and female finalist from each of the school year’s seasons: fall, winter and spring. The winners receive plaques at their schools and a dinner at the State CIF Federated Council.
