Udeze Leads Harvard-Westlake, 69-35

Omelongo Udeze sank 10 of 12 free throws and L’Tanya Robnett made all three of her three-point shots to help Harvard-Westlake rout Notre Dame, 69-35, in a Mission League game at Notre Dame on Friday night.

Udeze collected 28 points and 14 rebounds. Robnett added 19 points for Harvard-Westlake (19-4, 5-0) ranked No. 4 in the region by The Times.

Canyon 60, Valencia 41--Janette Garcia scored 17 points and Julianna Diaz added 15--13 in the first half--for the Cowboys (13-7, 3-2) in a Foothill League victory at Canyon.

Guard Emily Dearborn of Valencia (10-10, 2-3) scored 10 points before suffering a knee injury in the final minute.

Alemany 55, Louisville 42--Kate Beckler scored 13 of her 19 points in the second half to help the No. 9 Indians (13-5, 4-1) pull away in a Mission League victory at L.A. Baptist.

Moorpark 59, Royal 53--Damaris Hinojosa tied a career-high with 41 points, including 10 of 11 free throws in the second half, for the No. 3 Musketeers (17-1, 6-0) in a Marmonte League victory at Moorpark.

Hinojosa made 16 of 25 shots and had 13 rebounds.

Hart 49, Saugus 33--Briana Kentfield scored 14 points for the Indians (11-7, 5-0), who won their 43rd consecutive Foothill League game, a streak that spans five seasons.

Simi Valley 51, Agoura 32--Annamarie Turpin scored 14 points and the Pioneers (16-4, 5-1), ranked No. 6, added to a 22-19 halftime lead with a 17-7 third-quarter run in a Marmonte League victory at Simi Valley.

Crescenta Valley 59, Arcadia 29--Kelly Paige had 22 points and 10 rebounds for the second-ranked Falcons, who won their 37th consecutive Pacific League game at Arcadia.

Village Christian 50, La Reina 33--Jenielee Greslie, who made 17 of 19 free throws, scored 34 points and took down 10 rebounds for the Crusaders (10-9) in a nonleague victory at Village Christian.

Village Christian’s full-court press wore down La Reina in the second half and the Crusaders outscored the Regents, 17-2, in the fourth quarter.

Taft 78, Granada Hills 41--Oreeille Revish had 14 of her 18 points in the second half to help the Toreadors (12-2, 4-0) pull away in a Northwest Valley Conference game at Taft.

Revish had 10 points in the third quarter, when Taft outscored Granada Hills, 24-9.

Trisha Bratford added 13 points and 11 rebounds and Denisha McCoy had 13 points for Taft.

The Toreadors played without leading scorer Lisa Hawkins, who sat out because of illness.

Birmingham 53, Chatsworth 34--The Patriots outscored the Chancellors, 18-4, in the first quarter and cruised in a Northwest Valley Conference game at Birmingham.

Octavia Askew scored 21 points for Birmingham (9-6, 2-2).

Cleveland 56, Kennedy 39--Joann Ov had 16 points and 10 rebounds and Brynne Steward added 12 points for the Cavaliers in a Northwest Valley Conference victory at Kennedy.

Cleveland (8-6, 1-3) snapped a three-game losing streak despite playing without leading scorer and rebounder Jessica Cosby.

Cosby sat out her second consecutive game because of a strained knee.

Canoga Park 51, Van Nuys 27--The Hunters used a 32-4 second half to claim their first Valley Pac-8 Conference victory since 1993 at Canoga Park.

Tiffany Saunders scored 16 points for Canoga Park (2-8, 1-3), and Elizabeth Hernandez scored 10 of her 15 points for the Hunters in the second half.

Julianka Perez added 13 points for Canoga Park.
