Orange Lutheran Running Back Meza Commits to Fresno State

Dee Meza, a running back from Orange Lutheran, has committed to Fresno State, Coach Jim Kunau said Tuesday.
In helping Orange Lutheran win the Olympic League and reach the section Division XI quarterfinals, Mesa rushed for 1,588 yards in 142 carries and scored 32 touchdowns.
He was a Times all-county first-team selection and also was named the Olympic League Offensive MVP.

Asi Faoa, a first-team all-Orange League receiver/linebacker from Magnolia High, has committed to UCLA, school counselor Sara Parsons said.
Faoa is 6 feet 3 and 225 pounds.

Esperanza’s Heather Preston will play volleyball at Western New Mexico next season, Esperanza Coach Kurt Kersten said.
Preston, a 5-10 outside hitter, was named second team all-Sunset League in the fall.

Kathleen Celio of Santa Clara was named to the National Soccer Coaches Assn. of America scholar athlete All-America women’s second team.
Cello, a junior who attended Rosary, has a 3.64 grade-point average.
