THE SAFETY ZONE: ACTION LOG
The Times Orange County publishes a daily list of police incident reports provided by local law enforcement agencies. The Times prints items as soon as departments make them available. Because many departments release incident reports only weekly, not every community will be represented in each day’s Action Log. Authorities from the following cities released incident reports Tuesday:
ANAHEIM
* West Cerritos Avenue: Report of an assault and battery in the 1100 block at 2:03 a.m. Sunday.
* East Katella Avenue: A hit and run was reported in the 2600 block at 2:15 a.m. Sunday.
BREA
* Imperial Highway: Vandalism was reported in the 300 block at 6:44 a.m. Sunday.
* Brea Mall: A petty theft was reported at 4:54 p.m. Sunday.
* Brea Boulevard: A burglary was reported in the 500 block at 7:36 p.m. Sunday.
BUENA PARK
* Knott Avenue: Police responded to a report of two males harassing bank ATM customers and asking for money in the 8700 block at 3:39 p.m. Friday, but were unable to locate the suspects.
* San Capistrano Way: A children’s bicycle was reported stolen from a home in the 8400 block at 5:01 p.m. Friday.
* Valley View Avenue: Police were unable to find fireworks users reported in the 8700 block at 10:33 p.m. Friday.
* Beach Boulevard: Police are looking for three individuals who broke into a Ford dealership in the 6300 block early Tuesday and drove away in three 1999 Ford Expeditions valued at $100,000. Authorities believe the theft occurred between 2 and 4 a.m.
FOUNTAIN VALLEY
* Petal Avenue: Someone let the air out of four tires of a car parked in a driveway in the 11000 block at 7:01 a.m. Thursday.
FULLERTON
* Associated Road: A 1991 Honda Accord parked in the 2700 block was reported burglarized at 7:37 a.m. Monday.
* Cimeron Lane: Report of arson in the 2900 block at 7:55 a.m. Monday. The temperature-control thermostats in several model homes of a new housing tract were burned and melted.
* W. Orangethorpe Avenue: A petty theft arrest was made in the 2600 block at 11:46 a.m. Monday.
HUNTINGTON BEACH
* Colbreggan Drive: Fifteen people crashed a party and started a fight in the 9000 block at 8:58 p.m. Saturday.
IRVINE
* Fortune Drive: A palm-size computer was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 70 block at 1:32 p.m. Monday.
* Kazan Street: A backpack with books and a stereo was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 50 block at 4:22 a.m. Monday.
* Goodyear: A white 1991 Toyota one-ton pickup was reported stolen in the 10 block at 8:36 a.m. Monday.
LAGUNA BEACH
* La Vista Drive: A Laguna Beach resident was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication in the 800 block at 1:57 a.m. Monday.
LAGUNA HILLS
* Carlota: A laptop computer was stolen from a business in the 24000 block sometime during the weekend. It was reported at 10:45 a.m. Monday.
* Via Lomas: A residence in the 25000 block was burglarized at 10:40 a.m. Sunday.
LAGUNA NIGUEL
* Abington Court: Two men were reportedly shooting a BB gun on the hillside in the 30400 block at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday. Witnesses said the men fled in a black truck.
* Crown Valley Parkway: A woman was stopped trying to leave a Sav-on in the 28200 block with six cans of baby formula at 11:25 a.m. Sunday. The woman then fled.
* Via Sonoma: A resident in the 24900 block returned home at 12:55 p.m. Thursday to discover the front door pried open and the house ransacked. A VCR, stereo, jewelry and CDs were stolen.
LAKE FOREST
* Canada Road: An informant reported at 12 p.m. Sunday that his vehicle had been stolen during the night in the 21600 block.
* Mammoth Circle: It was reported at 2 a.m. Sunday that a man was assaulted in the 25100 block, suffering a cut lip.
LA PALMA
* Walker Street and Marview Drive: Two Anaheim men, 28 and 21, were arrested on suspicion of car burglary about 11:47 a.m. Monday.
LOS ALAMITOS
* Chestnut Avenue at Florista Street: Juveniles were reported climbing over a locked gate to the rear yard. One suspect was seen on a rooftop at 3:01 p.m.
* Reagan Street: Harassing phone calls were reported at 9:59 p.m. in the 10900 block.
MISSION VIEJO
* La Paz Road and Marguerite Parkway: An abandoned vehicle was reported at 9:52 p.m. Saturday.
* Lindley Street and Muirlands Boulevard: A robbery was reported at 8:30 p.m. Saturday.
PLACENTIA
* Cuyler Avenue: A burglary was reported in the 900 block at 8:56 p.m. Sunday.
* Avenida Alvarado: A grand theft was reported in the 1400 block at 2:30 p.m. Sunday.
* Salk Way: A burglary was reported in the 200 block at 9:08 a.m. Sunday.
SAN CLEMENTE
* Avenida la Cuesta: A robbery alarm was triggered in the 100 block at 10:12 a.m. Monday.
* Buena Vista: A robbery alarm was triggered in the 1000 block at 10:25 a.m. Monday.
* Avenida Del Presidente: A robbery alarm was triggered in the 3000 block at 2:59 p.m. Monday.
* Calle Lobina: A robbery alarm was triggered in the 2000 block at 7:18 p.m. Monday.
SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO
* Camino Capistrano: A robbery alarm was triggered in the 33000 block at 10:23 a.m. Monday.
* Avenida Presidio: A robbery alarm was triggered in the 100 block at 10:47 a.m. Monday.
SEAL BEACH
* Seal Beach Boulevard at Pacific Coast Highway: A white pit bull was captured by police Sunday and released to its owner at 11:14 a.m.
STANTON
* Western Avenue: A burglary alarm in the 10000 block triggered at 2:56 a.m. Sunday.
* Cerritos Avenue: A burglary alarm in the 700 block triggered at 8:36 p.m. Sunday.
TUSTIN
* Townhouse Drive: A citizen called police to silence a barking dog in the 16600 block at 9:35 a.m. Saturday.
* 1st Street at Costa Mesa Freeway: Police were unable to locate a male who was reportedly throwing objects at cars at 9:59 a.m. Saturday.
* Newport Avenue: A male allegedly snatched a purse from a female patron at a convenience store in the 12800 block at 10:14 a.m. Saturday.
VILLA PARK
* Prado Woods Drive: Report of an audible burglar alarm triggered in the 10000 block at 8:16 a.m. Monday.
* Camden Circle: Report of an audible burglar alarm triggered in the 10000 block at 9:30 a.m. Monday.
WESTMINSTER
* Goldenwest and 21st streets: A man was arrested on suspicion of committing a carjacking about 4 a.m. Sunday.
YORBA LINDA
* Douglas Lane: Vandalism was reported in the 5300 block at 7:31 p.m. Saturday.
* Mission Hills Lane: Vandalism was reported in the 22000 block at 11:18 a.m. Saturday.
* Yorba Linda Boulevard: A petty theft was reported in the 20000 block at 6:33 p.m. Saturday.
Authorities from the following cities did not release incident reports Tuesday: Costa Mesa Cypress, Dana Point, Garden Grove, Laguna Woods, La Habra, Newport Beach, Orange and Santa Ana.
