Chaminade Captures Softball Championship

West Hills Chaminade’s Maureen LeCocq held Bloomington to two hits in leading her team to a 10-0 victory Friday in the Southern Section Division IV softball championship game at Lakewood.
But as the Stanford-bound left-hander raised her arms in triumph moments after striking out the side to end the game, she dislocated her non-throwing shoulder and crumpled to the ground.
“It was not exactly what we were planning,” LeCocq said.
Dr. Donald Barceloux, father of teammate Shannon Barceloux, popped the shoulder back into place after about five minutes.
