RACE COMMENTS

* LEMON DROP KID was in hand early, was unhurried for five furlongs, raced between horses along the backstretch, waited patiently while behind rivals on the far turn, angled to the inside nearing the three-eighths pole, closed the gap along the inside midway on the turn, swung five wide for clear sailing entering the stretch, charged to the front with a furlong remaining, fought gamely under strong right hand urging into deep stretch and prevailed in a hard drive.

* VISION AND VERSE was well placed early, settled just behind the leaders while saving ground along the backstretch, raced up close along the inside to the turn, launched a rally between horses in upper stretch then finished determinedly along the inside but could not get up.

* CHARISMATIC moved up quickly to contest the early pace, stalked the pace outside Silverbulletday along the backstretch, made a move to challenge on the turn, drifted out entering the stretch, gained a slim advantage in upper stretch, relinquished the lead while drifting out in midstretch then weakened late and pulled up in distress after the finish and was vanned off.

* BEST OF LUCK raced well back for six furlongs, gradually gained while five wide on the turn then failed to threaten while improving his position.

* STEPHEN GOT EVEN raced up close while four wide on the first turn, was within striking distance while continuing wide to the turn and gradually tired thereafter.

* PATIENCE GAME raced in the middle of the pack between horses to the turn and lacked a further response.
