Midfielder Martina Voss, the captain of Germany’s team, has been ruled out of the rest of the tournament.
Voss missed the first two games of the first round because of a leg injury. She played less than half of Germany’s 3-3 tie with Brazil in the third game of the opening round. Doctors then diagnosed the injury as a torn muscle.
