Concordia 4, Point Loma Nazarene 3--Concordia scored twice in the bottom of the eighth to take a three-run lead at Concordia. Point Loma scored two runs in the top of the ninth and had runners on second and third when Bobby Sprain got the final out. Jason Radwan and Justin Duke each had two hits and an RBI for the Eagles (15-12, 8-7).

In nonconference baseball:

Chapman 12, Montclair State 2--Adam Olow went four for five with three RBIs for Chapman (16-1), which defeated the second-ranked team in the Division III preseason poll. Chapman hosts ninth-ranked Massachusetts-Dartmouth Thursday at Hart Park.

In Golden State Athletic Conference softball:

Biola 3-1, Concordia 1-0--Melissa Naylon’s home run in the second game of the doubleheader salvaged a split for the host Eagles (11-9). Concordia pitcher Alison Maya (1-0), went the distance for the victory.

Biola (11-9), scored two runs in the first inning of the first game and won behind the strong pitching of Melissa Fox (1-0).

In nonconference softball:

Point Loma Nazarene 7-3, Hope International 1-4--Hope International scored two runs without a hit in the top of the ninth of the second to earn a split. Julie Lagerstrom gave up three hits to earn the victory for Hope International.
