Newbury Park 5-5, Buena 2-1--Junior Oli Keohohou had three hits in two nonleague games for host Newbury Park, including a double in the first game and a run-scoring triple in the second game.
Katie Stokx (3-0) pitched five hitless innings in relief of Alyson Blum in the first game for second-ranked Newbury Park (5-1), striking out six while hitting one batter.
Blum (2-1) struck out five, walked one and scattered five hits in the second game.
Westlake 5, Dos Pueblos 0--Erin Voeltz pitched a two-hitter and struck out 10 for the Warriors in a nonleague victory at Westlake.
Voeltz (5-0) drove in a run in the second on a fielder’s choice to give the Warriors a 2-0 lead.
Kaitlyn Wilson had two hits, two RBIs and scored three runs for third-ranked Westlake.
Chatsworth 5, Monroe 2--Karis Gant (2-1) pitched a four-hitter and had three hits for the Chancellors (6-3) in a nonconference game at Chatsworth.
Hoover 5, Eagle Rock 0--Cori Herbert (4-2) struck out 14 but lost her bid for a perfect game on a fourth-inning single in a Hoover tournament game. Rosa Diaz had an RBI double for the Tornadoes (4-2).
Paraclete 4, Alemany 3--Amanda Wachsmuth’s two-run single with two out in the seventh gave the host Spirits (3-1) a nonleague victory.
Canoga Park 14, Birmingham 1--Ana Leon hit a grand slam in the fifth for the Hunters (5-3) in a nonleague victory at Birmingham.
Village Christian 12, Cantwell Sacred Heart 5--Jenni Lee Greslie hit a grand slam and Sarah Wheller had four hits and two RBIs for the Crusaders (3-3) in a Duarte tournament victory.
