Lancaster Falls to High Desert
Dan Meyer had three hits to help the High Desert Mavericks defeat Lancaster, 13-3, in a California League game Tuesday night in Adelanto.
Maverick starter Vincente Padilla allowed four hits and struck out 10 in 6 2/3 innings.

Outfielder Matt Sachse is returning to Lancaster after batting .113 in 27 games for double-A New Haven. Sachse batted .267 with eight home runs and 45 runs batted in for the JetHawks last season. . . . Lancaster third baseman Luis Figueroa was California League player of the week for May 3-9 after going 16 for 28 (.571). Figueroa ranks fifth in the league with a .335 average.
