Bakersfield scored in the fifth and sixth innings and held off Lancaster, 2-1, on Monday night at the Hangar.

Jim Turman (1-5) gave up five hits and struck out five over seven innings for the JetHawks (16-29).

Jeff Allen hit his fourth home run for the Blaze (27-17).

Former Canyon High pitcher Erik Hiljus on Monday was promoted by the Detroit Tigers from double-A Jacksonville to triple-A Toledo.
