Phil Sheng of Thousand Oaks High swept in singles play to help the No. 7-seeded Lancers upset No. 3 Loyola in a Southern Section Division II boys’ tennis quarterfinal match on Tuesday at Meridian’s Tennis L.A.

Thousand Oaks (19-3) and Loyola (15-7) tied, 9-9, at the end of regulation, and in games, 75-75, before the Lancers won a tiebreaking-round, 10-8.

Sheng won in singles, 6-4, 6-3, 6-0.

Harvard-Westlake 16, Palm Springs 2--No. 1 singles Prakash Amritraj and the No. 2 doubles team of Aaron Gortman and Allan Haldeman each swept their sets to lead the host Wolverines in a Division II quarterfinal match at Studio City Golf and Tennis.

Agoura 12, Santa Ana Foothill 6--Dustin Erb and Ben Hsiang, and Steve Moses and Mike Yu each swept three doubles sets to lead the No. 4-seeded Chargers (15-4) in a Division III quarterfinal victory at No. 5-seeded Foothill (15-3).

Erb and Hsiang (9-0) hadn’t played together before the playoffs.

Westlake 15, Anaheim Canyon 3-- Erik Janson, Alex Yaftali and Narbe Zoharbi each swept their singles sets for the Warriors (21-1) in a Division III quarterfinal match at North Ranch Country Club.

Calabasas 10, Dos Pueblos 8--Alex Menichini won every game at No. 2 singles and Nick Weiss dropped just one game at No. 1 singles for the Coyotes (15-8) in a Division IV quarterfinal match at Calabasas.

The No. 2 doubles team of Eric Fingleson and Dan Rubenstein gave Calabasas its only doubles victory, defeating No. 3 Grant Chin and Garren Weiner, 6-2.

Campbell Hall 14, Oak Park 4--The Vikings were 8-1 in doubles play in a Division V quarterfinal match at Valley College.

Campbell Hall’s No. 1 doubles team of Shanunt Vanerian and Nick Nadjarian and the No. 2 team of Justin Hardt and Michael Shrage each was 3-0.
