Kilpatrick 40, Big Bear 28--Jermaine Marshall rushed for 315 yards in 24 carries and scored on touchdown runs of 70 and 47 yards in a first-round victory at Canoga Park High.
The Mustangs (7-4) held visiting Big Bear without a touchdown in the second half to rally for the victory after trailing 21-6 late in the first quarter.
Darshaun Turner ran for 231 yards in 25 carries and scored four touchdowns, but was held to nine yards rushing in the second half for Big Bear (5-6).
Marshall left the game late in the third quarter after aggravating a knee injury, but returned in the fourth quarter.
Andrew Lewis helped shoulder the load, rushing for 136 yards in 19 carries and had touchdown runs of 18 and 32 yards and Dominic Snelson added 29 yards and one touchdown in five carries.
