In a Foothill Conference game:
Antelope Valley 30, San Bernardino Valley 14--David Newton rushed 21 times for 137 yards and two touchdowns for host Antelope Valley.
Newton ran 65 yards for a score on the second play. His second touchdown came on a 21-yard run in the second quarter and was set up by a 31-yard pass from Justin Holtfreter to Chad York.
Antelope Valley (5-5, 4-4) scored 16 points in the second quarter for a 23-7 lead at halftime.
Holtfreter threw a seven-yard touchdown pass to Demareo Robinson, capping a 14-play, 84-yard drive to end the scoring.
John Wachsmuth had 12 tackles and two of Antelope Valley’s five sacks.
