Thousand Oaks, which allowed 83 points in losing its first two games against Crescenta Valley and Hart, has rebounded the last two weeks with decisive victories over Camarillo and Agoura.
“There were some question marks at first,” Thousand Oaks Coach Mike Kelly said. “But once we got back in our area, we were all right.”
The Lancers have been relying on a two-quarterback platoon of Santo Riccobono and Ben Olson, who each play two quarters per game. They each have completed 14 of 37 passes.
“It’s not unprecedented that people go with two quarterbacks,” Kelly said. “If one rises above the other, I’ll give him more time. But until then, I’m keeping them even.”
There are no questions at running back. Clint Wilson has rushed for 471 yards and four touchdowns in 84 carries.
