In Mountain Pacific Sports Federation men’s soccer:

UC Irvine 4, Nevada Las Vegas 2--Eric Monterastelli had a goal and an assist for visiting Irvine (7-10-1, 2-3).

In the NAIA Region II women’s soccer playoffs:

Vanguard 3, Biola 2 (OT)--Annie Jacobs scored her second goal on a header off a crossing pass from Betsy Nienhuis seven minutes into overtime for host Vanguard (11-8).

After Biola (11-5) took a 2-1 lead in the second half, Vanguard’s Jen Bird scored an unassisted goal in the 67th minute.

In Mountain Pacific Sports Federation men’s water polo:

UCLA 7, UC Irvine 3--Jeff Pflueger, a former Foothill High standout, and Matt Armato each scored twice for top-ranked UCLA (14-2, 7-0). John Dorfi scored two goals for host Irvine (7-12, 0-5).
