OUTLOOK

The Flames were outscored, 260-52, in seven games last season. Degenhardt took over three weeks before the season began and was forced to forfeit the first two games because the team didn’t get in the Southern Section’s mandatory 14 days of practice. The Flames’ last victory on the field was in October of 1996, a 34-6 victory over La Verne Lutheran. (They did have a forfeit victory over Riverside Bethel Christian in 1997.) Former Ram and Washington Redskin Henry Ellard returns as an assistant coach.
