Lancaster Reschedules Rainout

The start of a three-game series with San Jose was rained out Monday and has been rescheduled as part of doubleheader Wednesday at Lancaster.

Lancaster will begin the first of two seven-inning games at 6 p.m. Wednesday. Ticket holders can exchange Monday tickets for another JetHawk game on any Sunday through Thursday, except July 4. Information: (661) 726-5400.

Craig Kuzmic, who hit two home runs and had seven RBIs on Saturday, had three hits, drove in a run and scored once Sunday to help Lancaster sweep its three-game home series against Rancho Cucamonga with a 7-4 victory.

Peanut Williams hit a three-run homer in the seventh inning to make it 7-1 JetHawks.

Right-hander Jeff Heaverlo (3-0) went six innings, striking out eight. He gave up four hits, one run and three walks. Heaverlo was selected Cal League pitcher of the week. He has thrown 16 innings and has a 0.56 earned-run average.

Brandon Parker struck out the side in the ninth. Harvey Hargrove had two hits, two runs and an RBI for the JetHawks, while Antonio Perez walked twice and scored three times.
