ANAHEIM
The City Council on Tuesday is expected to approve a motion to request input from members of the taxi industry about a proposed franchise system.
Anaheim has two taxi companies servicing the city. A report from Schaller Consulting suggests that the city go to a franchise system so it can choose the best service. The move anticipates increased numbers of visitors to Anaheim because of expansion of the Convention Center and the opening of Disney’s California Adventure in 2001.
