Golf Clinic to Aid Women, Children

Share

Golf pros from the LPGA will participate in a charity golf clinic Sept. 25 at Las Posas Country Club to raise funds to help women and children in Ventura County.

Interface Children Family Services’ sixth annual Women’s Golf Clinic will feature workshops by 12 veterans of the Ladies Professional Golf Assn., who will join LPGA member Lisa Grissom, the women’s teaching professional at Saticoy Country Club.

The professionals work at public or private clubs across Southern California. They will teach groups of four or five participants at a time, giving clinics on the driving range, throughout the course and on the putting green, event organizers said.

Interface expects to recruit at least 20 additional members of the professional association to teach at the clinic. Last year’s clinic sold out, organizers said.

The nonprofit Interface Children Family Services in Camarillo provides intervention, education and shelter services for abused women and children, high-risk youth and families in crisis.
