Car Kills Pedestrian Near Orange
A woman was struck by a car and fatally injured Saturday on a street near Orange, authorities said.
The incident happened about 9:20 a.m. on Fairhaven Avenue in an unincorporated area just south of Orange, California Highway Patrol dispatcher Bryan Bruning said. Paramedics took the woman to Western Medical Center-Santa Ana, where she was pronounced dead at 10:25 a.m., he said.
The woman still had not been identified Saturday night, CHP and county coroner’s officials said.
The driver was not cited, Bruning said.
The cause was still under investigation.
