St. Bonaventure, with a 28-game winning streak, has been complaining that larger schools don’t want to play the Seraphs in nonleague games for fear of losing.

Now comes word that Hart would consider signing a two-year contract with the Seraphs. Hart has openings on its 2001 schedule for games one, two and possibly five.

“We’re definitely interested,” said Coach Jon Mack of St. Bonaventure.

Loyola successfully ran a fumblerooski in the fourth quarter that set up a touchdown in its 13-10 overtime loss to Long Beach Poly Saturday night in the Division I final.

Coach Steve Grady said he consulted earlier in the week with Coach Kevin Rooney of Notre Dame on running the play, since Notre Dame executed an 80-yard fumblerooski in the semifinals against Mira Costa.

“I made sure we were doing it right,” Grady said.
